Parcels appear stuck at Northern Ireland MC

Post by Griffter18 »

Ordered two items which were dispatched via Parcelforce 48hours tracked delivery on 26th January.

According to their tracking numbers
item 1 was recieved at Northern Ireland MC at 17:26 on the 26th
Item 2 was received at Northern Ireland MC at 06:18 on the 27th

Both items have been showing as "We normally expect to deliver to your address between 10:00am - 1:00pm.. We have your item at Northern Ireland MC and it's on its way", since the morning of the 27th.

Is there any way to check if they have actually left Northern Ireland MC and when Im likely to receive them ?

Hi

I am having the same issue, which is kind of a relief I guess. Mine was scanned in at 18:01 on the 26th so I will assume there must be some kind of delay.

I'm based in England too.

I asked my AI to check on this issue and it said -
1. Storm Chandra & Collection Backlogs
The most recent specific disruption occurred this week. Parcelforce and Royal Mail issued a notice that items collected across all BT postcodes on Monday, January 26, 2026, are currently facing nationwide delivery delays.

Reason: Severe weather (Storm Chandra) disrupted the transit routes across the Irish Sea, preventing some mail from leaving the Belfast hub on schedule.

Status: This has created a "bottleneck" effect where items from earlier in the week are being processed alongside current mail, leading to a 2–3 day lag for some Standard and Tracked services.
It looks like both of you suffered from this.
