Item collected. Not moved since, is it gone forever?

Post by NorfolkTesco »

Hello all,

I fully appreciate this is an unofficial forum and you are all here as volunteers and do understand that there may be nothing further you can add to this saga, but I guess there is no harm in asking.

On the 6th of October I had a largeish item (55 x 55 x 55cm and approx 25 kg) collected in West Mersea using postage paid for online and an ''Express 48'' service.

The item was scanned at collection and shows up on tracking as "We've got it!". Since that initial scan there are no further updates or movement that I can see. I have even spoken to the guy that collected the item (The West Mersea SUDO office is literally next door to where the item was collected from!) and he assures me it was loaded onto a van for further movement / processing. I've no reason to disbelieve him either.

Is there anyway to track this item further? Could there be a problem transporting it? It was an odd shape but secured firmly to a very small wooden pallet thing. If it could be located, I'd happily just go and collect it and get it delivered another way.

Financially it's worth about £150 but more importantly to me is the items rarity.

I have photos of the package before its collection if they would be of any assistance in identifying / locating it.

I've tried to contact Parcel force / Royal mail but that does seem to be extremely difficult to actually get hold of someone, as you are most likely aware telephone wait times are pretty horrendous.

The tracking number of the item is:

HI000574049GB

If anyone on here can assist in any way I would be most grateful.
