Hi really appreciate anyone able to give some insight.
End of October I sent an important parcel of documents from Belfast to Dublin, I paid for signed/tracked etc. The parcel made it's way to Dublin and a few days later seemed to stop. I contacted Anpost in Ireland and they said the post office never did a declaration and this would now be returned to sender. (they seem to ignore the fact Ni and Roi have an agreement for mail.. But anyways).
I was told "you'll have this back any day now".. The parcel vanished off radar for approx 3 weeks or so. The anpost customer service team was far from helpful.
Fast forward until last week (27th Nov).. I see an update on my royal mail tracking telling me that my parcel is "leaving the uk". I immediately think fantastic and ring RM to enquire what the story was, I was told a big story about how it's currently on a plane to Belfast and would be with me before the weekend etc. This obviously never happened.
I rang back on Friday 29th and was told this was false and that the true facts were..
Wednesday 27th it left Dublin to go to London (unspecified but possibly Heathrow).. This was 1109am.
Friday 29th and 0820am it arrived in UK (again unspecified flight or airport).
I spoke to customer service and they state that the item would be back "soon". But mentioned customs again.. Even though it's going uk To Uk.
My biggest concern is, the past week I have had no update scans and am growing to wonder was my parcel even sent, how does a consignment arrive and not be scanned in for a week?
How long can I realistically expect this to take, 1 week 2 weeks? I really need my parcel as my job offer depends on the original books and certificates inside.
Please lend some advice or time frames and understanding.
Thanks

Re: Belfast to Belfast..
What's the tracking number so we can see all the tracking entries?
Irish customs are very strict with customs declarations, they see to reject a good few packets. It's possible that the package is now stuck in UK customs
