Hi,
I have an Apple Trade-in sent back in the package provided by Apple. It was collected by the postie and I received the collection confirmation and it got as far as South Midlands Mail Centre.
It hasn’t moved since and after contacting them on X(Twitter) they have said nothing can be done until 23/10 and a claim can be made.
Is there anything else I can do to get things sped up, is it likely my package will ever move? It’s £330 I will never see again which is quite a lot. If it has been lost/tampered with how much compensation can I get? What can I do?
Tracking number is:
FC652923041GB
Thanks in advance for any help!!

The Apple trade-in place might well get a delivery direct from the MC if they get enough mail each day. They'd likely use a bulk form to receive anything with a barcode. Sometimes when that happens there's a few days delay whilst it appears on the system

Thank you for the reply. Hopefully that is indeed the case.
I’m somewhat worried that Apple say they have not yet received the package either. Surly if they have accepted it they would update their own tracking.
I just have a bad feeling about it. Does anyone know the level of compensation I might be getting. The Royal Mail site is a minefield to try and get any concrete answers.
Any more help is greatly appreciated!!

What is it with midland mail centres? My tax return has been stuck in West Midlands Mail Centre since Wednesday morning. So much for 24hour track and trace. I’m starting to think it’s safer to send important mail via courier and not risk using Royal Mail after the brief googling I’ve done. Did your parcel reappear or is it still lost in the mail centre?

Hi,
My parcel never reappeared. Luckily Apple paid up upon looking at the postage receipt. As you say things appear to be getting worse and worse with Royal Mail, deliveries getting slower and slower. Parcels delivered to the wrong neighbour.
Hopefully yours is found, but would not hold out too much hope!!
