Hi, I've registered here after finding it in Google, I need some help on how to make a formal complaint about and extremely postman.
It started on Tuesday, I was at home wrapping presents and my neighbor wasn't in (we live in a block of flats) so the postman knocked on my door and I answered with a roll of paper and cello tape in hand.
She wasn't in yesterday when she had another delivery so again the postman knocked on my door. He said "have you finished your wrapping" I said that I had and he replied with "you haven't because you haven't wrapped your legs around me" he then suggested that we should go and have s*x on my balcony and that I could be his mistress because I'm "cute".
I took the parcels and closed the door.
Today my neighbor had more parcels but was thankfully in but he still knocked on my door after delivering her stuff. He had nothing for me, not even a letter, he was just stood there leaning against my doorframe.
I said no and shut the door.
I am expecting a delivery myself tomorrow and I'm now very reluctant to open the door to this man.
What do I do from here? Where and who do I complain to?
Please help.

Re: Extremely Inappropriate Postman
I am sorry you experienced this.
The comment was rude inappropriate and unprofessional. Worse it was unwanted.
I personally would say you have 3 choices.
1. Make a formal complain to Royal Mail by following the links from the hyperlink above.
2. Make a formal complain to the local manager of the delivery office.
3. Report the incident to the Police if you believe he crossed a line (Personally I think what he said crossed the threshold for Sexual harassment https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/law-a ... arassment/ .
Whatever you decide to do it was inappropriate behaviour and it should be addressed as so, and if you decide to do nothing that is also your prerogative.
However because of the nature of the subject I will lock this thread rather than run the risk of any insensitive posts being made. However anyone wishing to comment from a Posties point of view is more than welcome to start a thread in blue shirts, as long as the thread does not descent into anarchy.
The OP can use the Private Message feature to contact me if she so wishes.
