Parcel sent from US with wrong address

Hi,

I'm waiting on a parcel from the US and received a notification on Friday that it had shipped, but unfortunately the sender made a mistake in the first line of the address - the street number I gave them was 717, and they mistakenly put 17 instead. The rest of the address, including street name and post code, is correct. The seller's response was essentially that they can't do anything now that it's shipped, aside from send again if it gets returned to them, and trying to contact USPS about it led to the message 'Inquiries are not accepted for the service purchased to mail this item.'

The latest tracking event was 'Your item arrived at our USPS facility in SAN FRANCISCO CA INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER on April 3, 2021 at 7:28 am'.

I'll give the Royal Mail helpline a ring on Monday or Tuesday, whenever it reopens, but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone could advise on whether there's any chance I might be able to get the address corrected, and what my best bet would be for doing that, or if it's likely to just be sent back to the sender in the US?

As far as I can tell, number 17 doesn't exist on this road (numbers 15 and 21 are both shops, and there's a street between them, but neither 17 nor 19 seem to be in use), and unsurprisingly that part of the road is in a different postcode to where I am.
