Re: Dear Mr Postman,
Hmm... another new postman that I've never seen before (I make that 4 different ones in six weeks) and back to delivery at 1.45pm. When does the summer slowdown thing end and we go back to the normal routine of postmen and ladies on bikes instead of van deliveries? Is it September?

There are major changes coming and none of them will bring much cheer to the customer.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

In this kind of economic climate you'd think helping businesses to operate efficiently would be a priority.

I'm afraid you answered that one yourself in your previous post.Summerteeth wrote: What's the Royal Mail logic behind not having the capacity for delivering business mail earlier?
Both of these solutions make Royal Mail money. You can use Timed Delivery if you want, call our Sales Team.
You can collect it yourself if you want, here's the web link.
Delivering it to your business costs Royal Mail money...I'm afraid it's that simple.

I just don't understand why they can't leave alone. It's a public service, profit should be secondary to that.

Re: Dear Mr Postman,
Unfortunately, that's not how it works. It's a business, there to make money. They'd be blasted for letting RM operate at a loss (again) and blasted for making money. I just wish they'd do something constructive with the money and perhaps employ more people instead of getting rid by any means necessary.Summerteeth wrote:fishtank wrote:I'm afraid you answered that one yourself in your previous post.Summerteeth wrote: What's the Royal Mail logic behind not having the capacity for delivering business mail earlier?

Pensions deficit, low morale, poor equipment and uniform... And that's just for starters.
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?
