If you're local DO is very, very small then a manager might be able to find it for you. If not then it will be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

How do you suggest we sort out our problems with RM, since you are against us striking?

Which bit is that then?
What I meant is when you go over they don't want to give you docket for it. But the hours I'm on it's not possible not to go over my time.

Why don't you post something more constructive instead of select reading/posting!!
You are on this board as much as the rest of us,you have probably read every thread and every post,so stop posting crap!!You know what is going on!!
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

i get paid per drop, my money has gone up but im using more fuel, im doing more hours and i dont have a family life. the only reason im doing it is to keep a roof over our head. UKMail bosses expect us to do more drops a day in the same time as before.

there are people crying out for work at the min and i think it'll be a sad day when the old school posties get replaced with agency robots that only work because they have to, but it might end up like that because royal mail is a buisness after all and the bosses just look at money and figures, not workers happiness.
then again, i dont know any managers who think of staff
Yes I know there are a lot of people unemployed at the moment but if RM get their way you could probably top that up by 60,000.While RM is a buisness it is also a PUBLIC SERVICE.

That IS constructive. Its senseless making a statement like that without explaining to those reading what it means. Besides working to time thats not an issue.
Don't believe everything you're told in the rest room

Not explaining what it means. It means what I said (they want us to do more work but not pay us for it)

they couldnt get rid of 60.000 staff, RM couldn't opperate if they lost that many.

ROBOCOP, i wouldnt join the CWU as i go to work to do a job and earn a living, i dont agree with a group of a few bods dictating what thousands should do. everyone has a voice and half of the posties ive met in cambridge (where i deliver) have no idea what they are striking for

I think you will find it was the postal staff that put pressure on the CWU to have a national ballot. The posties you spoke to are they deaf as well as blind.

I think we all go to work to do a job and earn a living. People expect to be treated with respect in the street, so why should the workplace be any different. We are standing up as we live in a democracy and are entitled to challenge the discrepencies that are put our way. This country accepts the fat cats, the bankers, the MP sleaze, overpaid footballers etc. but why does a postal worker have to waive his/her right to a fair deal.

Ah good you are showing your true colours. Funnily enough I go to work to earn a living as well, it's not incompatible with being a union member.

I wouldn't agree with a few bods dictating to thousands either; however that isn't the case 61000 of us just voted for those bods to argue our case.
