That's how i've had to do the specials, with the good old paper and pen method. As mentioned, I either drop my completed card off at the DO when i've returned, or the next day at the start of shift. I haven't been told any different.......wait, I wasn't told anything re Specials, so no numbers or no procedures. Also, i'm too much of a newbie to even think about 'doctoring' the times if I were to be late, even though we do not get out until after 11 some days.

Until i'm explained the 'proper' method by my lino/manager i'll continue not to phone in :so there and if told to do so, will be requesting a mobile or pay phone money :left:

They do in our office now.
We only did it to get POSTMAN off my case to be honest. :nervous

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

They came around and asked me once to phone in. I still don't. I just chuck my card into the caller's office when I get back and presume upon their abilities to decipher it.
