Thanks, im from there and have sent many things before.. its nothing out the norm & parcels never take this long. More worried about the postage taking as long as they have been rather than hoping that the destination will accept the parcels! Lets wait and see

If anyone has specific number or email i can contact that would be great as cannot find it. Cheers

I sent a parcel to Cyprus on the 29th April. I appreciate 3 - 5 workng days is the aim and we are in challenging times.

My tracking hasn't changed since 1st May, showing Item "Leaving the UK - LANGLEY HWDC"

It also says " Handed to: Delivery partner - There may be more information on our delivery partner's website. This open a link to Cyprus Post but shows the same information.

Does anyone know if this means the item is in customs or has left the country yet? Would they contact me if there was a problem?

I'm worried as the parcel contained medication for my parents (I included the prescription notes) and also a mobile phone which was left with the battery connected as seemed to be allowed.

Should I be concerned?

Tracking number is RY088801803GB

Many thanks

I'm in a very similar position, Leaving the UK - LANGLEY HWDC and Handed to delivery partner etc. but no sign of anything in my country (Ireland). My parcel was shipped out of Langley last Tuesday (12th May). It's a high value item so I'm very worried about it going missing. My own view is that it hasn't left Langley at all and is probably the case with your item too. Perhaps they are in customs at Langley, but not sure why the scan would say handed to delivery partner.

Both. It appears to have left the UK and now be in Cypriot customs.

It varies by country, but probably not.

Yes.

The batteries in mobile phones are a constant problem, but if it was that it probably wouldn't have left the country. But medication is also a frequent source of problems. Assuming that you mean pharmaceuticals, then Cyprus restricts them:
The importation of pharmaceutical products and poisons is subject to the following conditions:
a they must be registered products according to the provisions of the Pharmaceutical Products Law and relevant regulations;
b they must be imported by professional persons and bodies;
c they must be accompanied by a licence issued by the Pharmacy Board or by the Ministry of Agriculture (Veterinary Services), as the case may be.
(For the original full text, see towards the end of "restricted items part 2" on this page: https://www.royalmail.com/cyprus" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

Alternatively, if you mean 'natural' remedies, then these also tend to receive a lot of attention from customs because so many are from unethical sources, or are narcotics in disguise.

If you want specific advice on this, rather than my general advice, then you should speak to the Cypriot embassy.

Customs only deal with inbound mail, so your item wouldn't pass through customs at Langley. It sounds like it is stuck in Irish customs.

Thanks for the reply, very much appreciated. It is a little odd as anytime I have had stuff passed into customs here, it always gets a scan first like 'item received', then another scan to say 'gone into customs'. Perhaps this isn't happening with the volume of mail at the moment. Will report back if I get anything this week, as I'm sure it might help others in a similar situation.

Hello. My parcel got to Langley on Monday and hasnt moved so far. I had a look at the forums nd seems like people had to wait weeks to receive their parcels...my reference number is RF045887118ES. Where can i get some extra information about it? I have a flight on 27/05 and i need my parcel..inside it is a wrist watch. Thanks for any help.

Update. Just received my parcel. There was no update until the moment it got delivered.

Just to report back that my parcel arrived in the Dublin hub this morning. It wasn't in customs this side, seemed to have been stuck in Langley. @Tibson your package got delivered this morning by the looks of it.

A large letter was posted with international tracked and signed from UK to me in Germany. Was received at Langley and marked as leaving the UK on 19th May, that is a week ago now. No updates since.

I am quite worried as it appears to have been handed to a delivery partner, but the partner seems to be NZ post? Could my letter be headed to New Zealand??

Tracking number is RN678882145GB

Edit: it contains a microSD card and a SIM card, if that is of any significance. Neither should be a problem. I have actually been expecting it since March 19th but it was already returned to the UK once about ten days ago (luckily not lost) due to a mistake on the address by the sender.

Fingers crossed it wil arrive in Germany in one or two days, someone has probably linked NZ by accident

I sent a package from the UK to Sweden a couple of weeks back and it took about 10 days although it only took a day or so to get to Sweden after it left the UK

You may want to keep an eye on this link as well, good luck

It is probably stuck in customs, many countries seem to have backlogs. There generally isn't any tracking between leaving the first country and leaving customs in the second.

I can't see anything about NZ Post - where did you get that information from?

Where it says it's been handed to a delivery partner and prompts me to visit their website for potentially more info, it redirects me to NZ Post.

Hopefully it'll turn up soon!

Tracking just updated, turns out my letter is now really in Auckland, NZ! I can't believe my luck...

Does anyone know if it will be sent back to the UK or directly to Germany?
