3 Month waiting list - online tests

Hello!
I am on the 3 month waiting list and recently applied for a role through the link (which was within the e-mail I received to advise me I was on the waiting list). The original RM e-mail with the link in it, advised that I did not have to complete the online tests again and if I received an e-mail to ask me to complete the tests, to disregard it, which I did.
I have today received an e-mail to state that I was not successful in this latest application as I did not complete the online tests. I am so upset! I have sent an e-mail to an RM address (not sure it is the correct one), but I only did exactly what the RM e-mail told me to do. Has anyone else come across this? I'm guessing that I really have to re-complete the online tests next time just in case (even though I have already passed the interview)? Can anyone else put their 2 pennies on this? Thanks

I would complete the tests anyway to be sure.

However, hopefully, it will be all sorted. This sort of left hand and right hand not knowing what the other is doing is sadly systemic in RM.

I did receive a reply from RM recruitment, as follows:-
"On occasions permanent roles may get filled internally so we wouldn’t check our wait list report if this happens.

That is why you have been sent the automated email as you mentioned below.

You are correct as you are a wait list you only need to apply, no tests etc need to be completed."
I will still however apply for more, BUT I will be doing the tests this time. But yes, left hand not knowing what right hand is doing seems to sum up RM in my experience so far!!! Thanks again
