Job Interview

Post by Webby19323 »

Hi there,

I've got an interview for a driver/postperson role and I have a bit of a problem. In the email telling me what to bring it is a requirement that I bring my driving license with a current address on it. The problem is that I still haven't got my license. I passed last year and still have my test certificate/ provisional but I haven't got around to sending it away because I was in the middle of moving house so didn't see the point since I'd need to reapply so it displayed my current address. Is there any advice on what I should do?

I can bring my provisional, my test certificate/ the paper part and any documents such as car insurance/ tax etc but would they accept that for now until I get it sent away?

Thanks in advance

My driving licence is not in my current address, should I still attend my interview.
Royal Mail require your driving licence to be in your current UK address therefore unless you are able to amend the address through the DVLA before your interview date we will not be able to carry out the interview. If you cannot attend interview due to your driving licence please contact our team on the email address provided in your invite email. Please note that it is unlikely that we will be able to offer an alternative date.
I'd contact them via the email address they say is in the invite email, and explain everything - you should be okay as the Licence is at your current address, but get their official agreement first.

Thanks for the reply!

I just had the interview today and they didn't even ask to see my license. Safe to say I've got it sent away in the post today!
