Hi
I have just got my induction day and start date and it is in 2.5 weeks time-problem is I have to give 4 weeks notice to my current employer. I appreciate some people might just say bugger off from my current job but they are a good employer and I want to give the correct notice period (also they have given me brilliant references so I dont want to risk losing their good favour in the future if I need it)
Is it possible for me to reschedule the induction day /start date at all???
The email from recruitment said to not hand in your notice until you have received an official offer which I now have but they dont seem to have considered that 1 months notice is commonly required from employers.
I don't want to risk losing my job offer but I also dont want to leave on poor terms with my current employer
Any ideas???

Re: Induction day- can I reschedule it
Induction date I would of thought if you can contact them they will change it.
And obviously tell them you have to give 1 months notice to your employer at said induction.
Good luck

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
