Waiting to hear

Post by tonecoombes »

Hi All,
I had an interview last Thursday, as is always the case I'm itching to find out if I got the job. Is it the done thing to give the sorting office a bell to ask how I did or is it best to just sit tight? Caught between being desperate and keen!

No don't call the sorting office as though the interview may have taken place there, it's unlikely that the manager has anything to do with the process. As far as I am aware the process is handled by recruitment at a central location. Its possible the manager won't know who has been successful till they actually turn up on the first day.

As said previously, on other threads, the process is glacial in RM so my advice is hang tight and keep checking the inbox and spam folder of your registered email account.

Hi took me I two and a half weeks to find out I'd been successful next week will be the second week of the security checks wait and can expect this to last for another two. Best thing is put it to one side and let them contact you.
