I joined RM this Tuesday...just had the toughest physical day OF MY LIFE...pushing a htc thingy round in a snowstorm for 4 hrs only to get home and find my first (and v disappointing) pay slip.
Don't know if I've totally missed something but the advert said 18+ yo are on £9.10 per hr for first 6 mths but I've only picked up £150 for 25 hrs...feel like crying Please explain.
If you started Tuesday then you have only worked 20 hours of your contract rather than 25. If they counted Monday as your day off it should balance out next week. Any overtime you worked this week is paid next week (thats normal in RM). If your contract actually started Tuesday then you should have another day off this week, or one of the days SHOULD be counted as overtime.

the woman who trained us said we'd still get whatever hrs we're contracted for in the first week, which is what the pay slips says...25 hrs. my contract says starting salary of £355 per week but that's full time and ive not idea what hrs are classed as full time so couldn't work it out from that. i just thought if ad said £9.10 ph then i'd be on 25 x that? not sure how that supplement thing works either? it was £11?

The Delivery supplement is roughly 55p per hour - which if you got £11 - strongly suggests that they have paid you for 20 hours.
Full Timers are on 39 hours.

I'm off on Sat, so that's obv my day off this week...so as you say maybe I'm not getting paid for Monday (and not that I'd expect to as contract started Tues!) but just odd that the trainer said no matter what you do the first week you get paid for contracted no of hrs and then any extra is in next week's pay plus as mentioned it does say on the payslip under HOURS - 25 so why wouldn't it say 20?? So what should I expect for 25 hrs?
about a 1/5 extra than you got this week - so roughly £187 (net) if your initial figures are accurate. or £241 gross
