Delay after interview
Hi everyone. Interviewed for a postman job Friday 16th Jan and heard nothing so far. I know officially it can take longer than that but just wondered if there was anyone out there who can tell me if waiting that long is a bad sign. The delivery office manager who interviewed me said I should hear from recruitment within 7 days and it can be as quick as 3. There also doesn't seem to be any way to follow up. Frustrated!,,
Cheers

Re: Delay after interview
Don't panic, RM recruitment is not the fastest/slickest of processes. Keep an eye on your online recruitment status that is normally the first thing to get updated as you go through all the different stages.

Re: Delay after interview
Makes sense. My current job is active and I can be on my feet and shifting stock for hours at a time. I also do circuit training and some running regularly but know it's not the same thing as walking at a reasonable pace for hours. What sort of footwear is issued / are you allowed to wear / Whats best to wear? Ta for any advice you can give.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Delay after interview
Got the email confirming security checks passed. Quite quick 7 working days. Induction 16/3 start the next day. Only two weeks to go at current job then a week off for the holiday they owe me. Have I done the right thing? Only time will tell.......I ll come back a week before for the sound advice I know I will get and will definitely do a bit of a first month rundown on here at the risk of boring you all......
