"Offer Processing"

Post by Loopy_1 »

Hi all I am very sure you have been asked this question time and time again
I applied for a job with Royal Mail

11sept 2014 applied on line
23rd sept 2014 invited for a interview
1st October interview attended
10th October email to say offer being processed

Can somebody please explain this to me as I've had no phone call from Royal Mail and just hate waiting to find out the next step, I am also still working in my current job and have to work my notice and don't know what to tell them !
Why don't they provide a contact email or telephone number

My guess is that the bit they are processing is the Background and Criminal Checks, unfortunately this time of year they recruit between 18,000 and 20,000 it can take a bit of time, its also probably the same reason why they don't give out contact details.

Good Luck anyway.

From my memory of my application, TBT is right about it being while they carry out the checks - which probably means you have got the job.

In my case I think the next email asked for bank details and was received around the time they emailed with my start date. Other than the actual interview, I didn't speak to anyone during the entire process until I turned up on the induction day.
