Hello

Post by paul1231 »

Last month I went for an interview but was placed on the waiting list and singed up for notifications and noticed an opening at a branch about five miles away from the one I originally applied for so told them I was interested in this vacancy. Today I received an email back saying I would be contacted in the next ten days to discuss the vacancy and a conditional offer will be made to me. Is it too early too get excited thinking I've got a job?. Was thinking of leaving my job a couple of weeks before I start at royal mail to give myself a little break but is it too early to do this?. Thanks.

This is an identical scenario to my appointment, I applied and failed to get a Saturday only job at my local office and then a 35 hour job appeared at an office 6 miles away and I was shortlisted immediately and received the same email as you and then I was appointed and never looked back. Good luck Paul.

It was about 2 or 3 weeks then a week later I attended the induction but this was because of delays at the delivery office, I believe they were not enthused about taking me on as I'm 55 years of age but I think I've surprised them though as I'm a fitness fanatic and taken to the job like a duck to water.
