Just had an email telling me I had passed the assessment stage :) so I went onto my application and it says offer being processed and my job offer is there. Tells me I have a conditional offer, obviously waiting for security checks, what are these checks and how long do they take to process? no-one from recruitment has rang me yet? Also my job is with driving does this mean I will be driving all the time?
Many thanks for the help x

Re: Conditional job offer!
Well done
I think it was a week or two when my checks were done in 2012. My entire application process was online, no one ever rang me, and the actual offer was by email - complete with a date for the induction day. The amount of driving you do will depend on the requirements of the office, pretty much all the vacancies say "with driving" but I have done very little so far.

Re: Conditional job offer!
Thank you! It's all been pretty quick to be honest the process :) how are you enjoying the job? I'm exited but quite nervous if I'm honest, driving isn't my biggest joy lol :/ also my contract is temporary for 3 months is there a Chance for this to be extended or does it depend on your performance? Thanks. Xfb1969 wrote:Well doneI think it was a week or two when my checks were done in 2012. Re: Conditional job offer!
I am just coming to the end of my fifth three month contract and have been told that another one is on the way. No one has ever mentioned my performance to me, so I can only guess that I am doing well enough. The job itself has good and bad points, when it is bad it really is bad - and a lot can depend on the management at the office. It was a bit daunting to start with but you adjust, I wouldn't say that I was particularly fit (and still aren't) so your body will probably tire at the beginning. The last couple of months have been worse than last year thanks to the weather, though you do reach a point where you are wet and you just get on with it. Better weather and a reasonable workload and it can be good when you realise you are being paid for walking in the sun!

Re: Conditional job offer!
Thanks for replying :) my offer says 3 months temporary fixed contract. I did ask at interview about it being extended but the manager said he wasn't sure so I just said OK. Just had another email now about the checks and they could take 14 days then someone will be in contact via phone or email with a start date eeeek! I don't mind the wet etc I'm probably a bit of a tom boy if I'm honest, I'm the kind of hair up, converse type girl so wearing work boots and walking, I think, hopefully will suit me down to the ground!fb1969 wrote:I am just coming to the end of my fifth three month contract and have been told that another one is on the way. The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
