Induction next Monday

Post by Engie1967 »

I'm really looking forward to my induction next Monday - I'm starting on a 6 month contract but hope I'll be joining you all for longer. I'm neither slim nor particularly fit as I've worked in an office for 30 years so I hope I'll get used to bing SO active fairly quickly. Any hints and tips will be VERY welcome.

Welcome.

I came from an office background of 7 years and military before that, and I struggled, best thing to do is to make sure you have plenty of food and water available and just dig in when the going gets tough - and it will.

Perhaps it may be worthwhile taking a few long walks before you start, just to get your body used to it. 9 to 10 miles should do it. :Very Happy

Thanks - that's good advice. I've been doing exactly that - and I feel fitter already!
