Post by Joehego55 »

Hello :)

I have my induction on Monday and start full time on the Tuesday. When am I likely to be paid for the first time and do you get paid for the induction?

Many thanks :)

Make sure you claim for the full 8 hours of your induction day. My DO tried to tell me that as I work 5 hours a day that's all the would pay me for! I got the 8 hours in the end when I stated that the induction bloke confirmed 8 hours was to be paid for and the union rep who comes to the induction also confirmed that we got 8 hours pay.

Agree with thefemalepostie. On my first day in the DO I claimed 2 hours overtime for the induction (I work 6 hours a day and it was 8) but it took a couple of weeks to get the actual 6 hours pay as no one had started my pay that day. As your induction day is the Monday you should get pay on Friday for your normal working hours in the week.
