postman interview help

hello every body i have a interview next week for a postman with driving position and would like to know any info on the interview process and what questions were asked i have been trying to get into royal mail for a couple of years now that i have the chance i dont want to mess it up in anyway ,so any info on what questions were asked e.t.c. would be great thankyou dave.

Make sure you take all the documents they ask for, and in the case of the driving licence take a photocopy of both sides of the paper part (if you have one).

I had my interview about 9 months ago. They seem to work from a standard script. Can't remember all the questions but the following should help. You could be asked to give examples of: i) a situation where you worked as part of a team; ii) a situation where you encountered a problem and how you resolved it; iii) a situation where you undertook a task solo and what was the outcome. As I had a lengthy career before joining RMG I used examples from the business I ran.

As a driver you may be asked to give 5 examples of basic van maintenance checks - eg oil, tyres, lights, fuel, wipers.

well had interview this morning and some of the questions you gave did help ,also safety checks did come up towards the end so thankyou for that .I done all could in interview so was pleased how it went managed to answer all the questions asked just have to wait and see now keeping my fingers crossed ,thanks for your help again runner 52 ,fb1969, maisymoo04.

Good luck to you. Everything in my recruitment pricess was done by email and the RM website, looking back at emails it was 10 days after the interview that I received an email saying that I had "passed the assessment".
