Newbie here, had my interview yesterday, I think it went well, fingers crossed. If I am lucky enough to get through to the next stage, do they take up references as well as CRB check? My concern is that I used to work for (well, self employed) for Hermes as a courier, and they wont give out references. Many thanks

Do RM take up references?
Hi all
Newbie here, had my interview yesterday, I think it went well, fingers crossed. If I am lucky enough to get through to the next stage, do they take up references as well as CRB check? My concern is that I used to work for (well, self employed) for Hermes as a courier, and they wont give out references. Many thanks

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
