Did my homework before i posted this time and it seems that many are in the same boat as me. Basicly i completed the online stuff - Got called for interview, went to interview, which i thought went really well considering i hadn't been for one in over 10 years. Seemed that i ticked all the boxes and met every criteria that was asked of me. Left there feeling very confident that i had a job in the bag. Also i note that i had a 50% chance of getting the job as there were 4 interviews and 2 jobs on offer. Then i recieved my what seems like, the obligatory put you on the waiting list yada yada???

Interview went well - BUT.....................!
Hi all, again - Another newbie to the fold
Did my homework before i posted this time and it seems that many are in the same boat as me. Basicly i completed the online stuff - Got called for interview, went to interview, which i thought went really well considering i hadn't been for one in over 10 years. Seemed that i ticked all the boxes and met every criteria that was asked of me. Left there feeling very confident that i had a job in the bag. now whilst i still have a job at least. Does anybody share my same feelings and experience here? And do these 'Waiting Lists' stand for anything at all? It seems that the hardest thing about the job is actually securing one

Sadly, this seems to be a very common situation, since Angard took over recruitment.
Welcome to RMC though. Hopefully the site will be useful for you. Particularly the Angard section.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Cheers Postman
here's hoping.
Have been self employed for 13 years and i've just about had enough of it to be honest and am looking forward to doing something else and letting somebody else worry about my sick/holiday pay, which currently and for all these years i've had to sort myself. I was so pleased when i got the call for interview. Now i'm checking all my contact details daily in the hope that i will get the call
i shall await a reply like the rest of us i suppose

Congratulations Sco77, just a quick query regarding your online Application. Was your online status, 'TEST COMPLETED' prior to being called to interview? As i can't figure out if I need to do anything else online other than hang fire for a response! I hope you get taken off the waiting list ASAP!

Hi again.
Well my status is now stating that i have passed my C.R.B checks. My job is through Royal Mail not Angard. I don't suppose anybody has a contact number for Royal Mail recruitment team do they? I'd like to give them a ring and try to pin them down to dispatching me for my induction
Cheers guys, let's hope that i get an extra special christmas present such as a contract of employment

Maybe ring the delivery office that you went to for the interview and ask them! How long were you waiting until you were phoned to attend an interview? Good luck!

Nice one on the job Sco, how are you finding it?? I had similar uncertainty after my interview but got there in the end. Anyway, the other day I chose to write about that and a bunch of other adventures in a blog, check it out if you get a sec, some of it may sound familiar!Sco77 wrote:Well i'm pleased as punch today.....A lovely belated christmas present from Royal MailA CONTRACT AND A START DATE
