No kidding - don't worry you may have an induction but at some point you will be introduced to your trainer or "puppy walker" and he will show you the ropes for at least 1 or 2 days.

My best advice is to ask lots of questions and listen out for any advice, but don't join in the banter till you have settled in . Don't worry too much about the work its a physical job and you will get tired but its not a job that taxes the brain :left:

No idea TBH - Huddersfield :Very Happy. You probably wont be able to use your car for work anyway as there are certain documents you need before you can use it to transport mail - and you'll need the right insurance. So if you do drive to work it may have to stay there for a 4 hours or more.

Chaos.
You won't understand how anything works.
People will use terms you don't understand.
If you are lucky you will get a good trainer and that will help.
By the end of the first month you might start to get an idea about how RM works (or doesn't) but you will be too tired to care.
Get some advice on dealing with blisters.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Your contract should give you an idea of base hours ie 20, 25,30 (have heard of less but thats rare) but once you have settled in there is usually plenty of time for docket.

BTW RMC is a great resource even if I do say so myself. Even if you don't want to join in the banter and political discussion we have most if not all the different agreements we work under on here. We also have a couple of millenniums worth of experience of dealing with management and numerous reps so if you have a question ask and we will help.

Different offices are well different  - But at my office you would probably get between 20 and 40 hours each week (officially) and loads of cash in hand (for doing parts of others duties) as well. I wouldn't be surprised if you average at least 30 hours a week - but please don't bank on it.

Some big changes on the way over the next few years as well which may be the reason for offering casual contracts rather than permanent. Mind you I started as a Christmas casual 7 years ago and I am still here :Very Happy :Very Happy
