How to apply for Christmas Casual

Post by RoyalMailPerson12 »

Hello,

I am interested in doing Christmas Casual this christmas, but I'm not sure how/when to apply for it. Also I want to know what the exact date the Christmas casual starts, is it just in December or is it in November too?

Honestly I wouldn't bother, I wouldn't recommend this dead end job to anyone, I would die if any of my neighbours knew how I earn my crust, thankfully my wife did better at school & can look after us both

How do your neighbours not see you in your uniform?
Do you change your clothes at work?

We had an OPG who did that. He told neighbours he was a Royal Mail manager.

To the OP, you need to look at the Royal Mail online vacancies website. I don't know when Xmas Casual recruitment starts now. It used to be beginning of October. If you are taken on start would probably be first week of December, but it's not guaranteed and might be later or not at all.
If you are taken on you could be terminated at any time.
If I were you I'd apply to large chain stores who take on extra staff over Xmas period, and a lot of other companies do that too.

August is usually when they start advertising. Casuals start late November/early December depending on location
