Overtime

Post by Rellim »

Overtime? Does anyone else notice it’s the same individuals that get overtime or is this something just happening where I’m based? Other jobs I’ve worked it was regularly shared amongst the workforce? There’s not much extra hours about right now but this has been the case since I started there?

That's pretty universal across the business, the COMs pets get first dibs every single time

You've started at a bad time. Generally speaking, IME, if you usually say yes when you're asked if you'll do some, you'll keep getting asked. I think that's just because it takes the least effort in organising, but it's pretty fair IMO.

Normally in our office they're begging us to do overtime, currently there's barely any going.

Overtime gone in our office now, Hours cut to a minimum, Being sent out to other offices mentioned and the feeling that they’re pushing new contracts into jacking in the job…

I was warned it would happen and knew it probably would. Doesn’t make it easier to swallow though.

Agency I expect

Long term owner drivers or perhaps everyone will have Sunday’s written into their contract?

It’s actually hard to get in on a Sunday up here as all the senior men would rather do a Sunday that work their day off.
