Hi everyone I started as a postwoman on 20th Nov and going into my 4th week now and hopefully my thoughts and questions may help others on here :)
So far I have done 2 different duties/walks. Was paired up with someone who has been excellent and have met a few other colleagues along the way who all have diff ways of working but have been helpful.
I have been on same duty now for past two weeks I would say, know the walk great now but still struggling with bundling mail in morning? I hope this just comes with time. Parcels can be overwhelming especially when you have a tiny van but overall its not too bad.
I have found the physical side probably most challenging along with not such a structured training program if that makes sense? Basically just got put on a duty and learned as I went. The walking is getting slightly easier now but still have days where I come home and im stiff as a board haha!
I am really enjoying the job, exercise, fresh air and meeting all the colleagues and hope it will all become second nature eventually.

Into my 4th week
in my 6th week and im knackered today, been ok the last few weeks but feel I've hit a wall, felt very slow today, my partner the driver seems to spend more time waiting for me but keeps adding addresses onto my loop, I understand he's trying to get me up to speed but these address are not on my frame, maybe I'm just having a bad day,
