So yesterday 24/11 was my first day out on a walk. Induction was 21/11, day in depot 22/11 & h&s 23/11. Picked the job up relatively easy considering I was out on my own. Scanned literally anything with a barcode, came back with about 4 parcels that I left cards for. Managed to do 850 letters/parcels (so I was told, didnt seem that many) between 9am & 1pm.
I received a paycheck on Thursday and was paid for 15hrs Friday 23/11. Induction was 6&half hours, altho others on my day were paid for 8hrs?, Thursday I was in depot for 5hrs, Friday H&S was 4hrs. So 15&half hrs altogether. Sat 24/11 was 4 n half as I got back and left at 130pm. Can anybody tell me what the cut off days are for pay ie are you paid Friday to Friday, Thursday to Thursday? Nobody in my depot seems to know.
All in all enjoying it so far despite having to bike 8 miles to my depot, walk up to 10 miles then bike home 8 miles lol. Want to look at possibly moving to my local depot only 1 mile away.
PS - on a 25hr contract if that makes any difference to pay cut off day.

Welcome to the madhouse!
The pay week for contracted hours runs from Monday to Sunday, with payment being made on the Friday.
We do not work a "week in hand" but overtime hours are paid the week after you work them.
Make sure that you get paid for your induction day, as this may not have been included in your 1st week's pay.
You should also claim for travelling expenses to attend your induction day. Mine was a round trip of 140 miles @ 45p per mile, when I started with RM.
Good luck.

I believe that normally the deadline for any changes/payments/deductions to be done on PSP is sometime Tuesdays to be processed for the payroll for that week

I parked at the Mail Centre where my induction day was, so it was free. As for having to provide a fuel receipt that is totally ridiculous! Do they think that you only put fuel in your car for this journey? I just told them how many miles it was and got the money a couple of weeks later.Andrewp1978 wrote:Thanks for the welcome :-D. Have asked already regarding induction day travel and was told I'd need fuel receipt? I fill up start of each month so don't have it. 120 mile round trip plus £25 parking.
Don't let them get away with it!
