Will i know my walk the day before or just on the morning of the walk?
In our DO I am a part time postie I have fixed walk every day! So it depends about your working hours if you are full time or part time.

Same here doing 25hrs a week with a rotating day off, so I think you should get a fixed walk. Your walk should be prepared for you, the only think you should do is to sort your parcels, redirections, get rid off dead letters. Good luck!

I've only been with RM for 4 months so still a newbie. I had my induction in Bristol as well and to be honest the job is nothing like what you learn at the induction which isn't a bad thing by the way as I love the job. When I first started I was on a round for about a month learning the ins and outs and now I've been on the same round for the past 10 weeks or so. It is a bit daunting at first and you're sort of left to your own devices and not told anything so don't be afraid to ask someone. Good luck I hope all goes well, let us know how you get on.

Im doing my induction tomorrow then first day at work on Thursday. I decided to go and visit the DO yesterday and introduce myself to the manager, broke the ice for me. I already know my walk and how long i'll be on it for plus he gave me a small tour. I feel really good about starting and that visit for me has basically halved my 'first day nerves'
