No.064/2014
Ref: PTC/RE/dj /312
Date: 27 January 2014
TO ALL BRANCHES WITH ROMEC MEMBERS
Dear Colleague
RE: Romec Ballot Result: Unagreed Job Allocation
The industrial action ballot for Romec members has concluded with the following result:
Are you prepared to take part in industrial action consisting of a strike?
Number of votes cast: 362
Number voting yes: 342 (94.5%)
Number voting no: 20 (5.5%)
Spoilt voting papers: 0
The overwhelming vote in favour of industrial action reflects the legitimate anger of all our Romec members in response to the unagreed job allocation.
We would like to thank members for their strong support in the ballot. Branches should ensure that all Romec members are advised of the result as a matter of urgency.
Any enquiries should be addressed to Ray Ellis’s department, quoting reference PTC/RE/dj/312. Email address: rellis@cwu.org
Yours sincerely
Ray Ellis,
Assistant Secretary
