Haven't been offered a shift in over a month

Post by paddlesnap419 »

As the topic title states, my last text from Angard was on 5th January, and my last shift worked was sometime at the beginning of November. Tried to get in over Christmas but every time I was told "shift has been filled." I don't really have any intention of going back seeing how poorly they treat agency workers and I have a job elsewhere now so I have little need to go back to RM, but is it possible they've taken me off the books now since I haven't worked for them in nearly three months? If so, I presume they owe me holiday pay which I haven't received, so how would I go about getting it?

Thanks.

Your last payslip would show how much holiday you are owed but is a week in arrears so the total will be slightly under. Email angard.holiday@reedglobal.com and tell them you want all your outstanding holiday paid. If it's over 40 hours it will have to be spread over more than one week.

Shifts have dried up at my MC at the moment, worked between Xmas & New Year but nothing from angard since. I had two texts at the start of January but with this new queuing system it's pointless ringing up if you can't dial immediately. I know it's very quiet from talking to other people but it's the usual problem the few shifts that are available are being given to new staff. Angard couldn't care less if people leave there is a never ending supply of people out there applying for jobs.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve never actually had a payslip through from Angard, not paper or online, so I’ve no idea what my payroll details are or anything like that. How do I go about requesting one, just email that same address?

Thanks.

If you include your NI number and DOB that should do it. They don't ask for a payroll number on the holiday form http://www.angardstaffing.co.uk/docs/2/ ... rm.doc.doc

Might be easier to ring payroll, they normally answer on Thursday & Friday 0333 240 8502 think it is option 4.

Hello there,
As a sometime long-suffering Angardee, now retired I know how you feel :arrrghhh Yes you are entitled to holiday pay and this is what you should do. This sort of email has always worked for me:
1. Address your email to THE SENIOR HOLIDAY AND PAYROLL MANAGER, ANGARD STAFFING SOLUTIONS LTD.
2.Give them your payroll number, NI etc
3.Say something like, "I am writing to claim all of my accrued holiday pay entitlement to date..."
4.Do NOT tell them you you are not going back as they can be awkward and vindictive!
5.No point in ringing any of the call centre operatives. You'll waste your time. They are incapable of doing the calculations. Very
frustrating. There is a holiday pay form but I have never used it. I have heard that it often gets lost!
6. Estimate what your entitlement should be. There is a formula based on how many hours you have worked but I'm not sure
whether thay have changed it. Do the maths so you will know what you should roughly get.
7. Give Angard anout 7-10 days to repond. If no answer specifically about your entitlement send the email again

8. email address: Angardpayroll.queries.co.uk (Check!)

Regards :wave
