I usually work at Southampton Mail Centre. Earlier this week, I answered an email from Angard about a one-off 9 hour shift today (Friday) at a Delivery Centre close to Southampton and was booked onto it. I turned up on time at 9am this morning but the Manager knew nothing whatsoever about the shift and said he'd had to tell 4 other Angard guys who'd turned up that morning the same and turned them away too.
I'm obviously livid about this, but haven't yet managed to get Angard on the phone. Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar situation and whether they had any luck complaining and at least getting some payment from Angard for their clear mistake?

To reply to my own post, I have now managed to speak to Angard, who have said that there was a comms mix up on the Royal Mail side and I will be paid for 4 hours, which is fair enough.
