Does anyone happen to know the frequency that Angard hold inductions? recently applied again and got through the dbs checks. But last time on an application in July they didn't organise one until October.
Wondering if it would just be faster applying to a supermarket instead.

I don’t know the answer, but if it’s for a mail sorter role then it might depend which Mail Centre it is. Where I am, I still hear many Angard staff saying they don’t get enough shifts, so it’s hard to imagine they’re recruiting that aggressively at the moment for new staff. You may have to call them and ask. It may indeed be quicker to apply for a supermarket role, but who knows when it comes to Angard. They tend to be unpredictable at best.

Lack of shifts aren’t a consideration. This time of year is quiet. A group shown round recently at the MC. Surely you applied for other jobs? Remember guaranteed hours at whatever rate is guaranteed money!

If lack of shifts aren’t a consideration (happy to accept you may be correct though) how would any new starters get work if there isn’t enough shifts for people who are already enrolled?
Or is it a case of new starters are preferred as they’re on a lower wage?
I don’t think I’ve seen at induction at my MC since Xmas although I’m not there every day.

Whoever was quickest was the thinking. But yes a good reminder to apply for others despite the preference.

You would have to look at turnover of staff. Probably best oversubscribed staff pool to give the best cover. I don’t know how it will go with new employees starting/staying on the lower rate. But once the reality of zero hours short notice kicks in it may well be a different outcome for people looking to earn a full time wage.
