Parcel delivery company Hermes has acquired a new depot in Bolton.
The 80,000 sq ft facility will, once completed, allow the company to provide enhanced services to its existing and future customer base, while also enabling the business to handle higher volumes.
A team at Schofield Sweeney, led by partner Amraj Boparai with support from construction partner Andrew Hurst, advised on the legal and construction documents on the development of the depot.
Deborah Faithfull, Hermes' estates manager, said: "Amraj and his team provided an excellent, efficient service from the outset and ensured that what was a complex deal ran smoothly from start to finish.
"They delivered a quick turnaround and we are delighted with the outcome as it forms a key part of our on-going strategic programme."
Boparai added: "The volumes which Hermes have experienced in the past 12 months have been incredibly high and this latest acquisition will underpin its continued growth.
"As always, it was a real pleasure working with Deborah and her team and we are really pleased with the outcome and look forward to seeing the finished unit."
The firm has also been appointed to Hermes' property and litigation legal panel, following a successful tender and interview process.
