MPs have written to delivery firm Hermes after it emerged that several retailers had been accused of underpaying delivery drivers.
Earlier this month two select committee chairs wrote to Mike Ashley regarding accusations Sports Direct mislabelled parcels in order to underpay drivers.
Yesterday the same MPs wrote to Hermes with a series of questions about the processes and procedures in place to ensure delivery workers received fair payment.
In yesterday's letter, Frank Field and Rachel Reeves, chairs of the Work and Pensions and BEIS committees respectively, revealed that similar accusations have been made by other Hermes drivers about other high street brands since the initial correspondence.
It follows concerns raised by member of both committees over the fairness of the "gig economy", including the failure by some companies to pay workers the National Living Wage.
Matthew Taylor compiled a report about modern working practices for the government in July, and is due to give evidence on this for the committees next month.

MPs demand answers as more Hermes drivers claim to have been underpaid
MPs, like you and I, can ask for answers but surely they're not in a position to DEMAND answers from a business.
