Social partners extend Swiss Post CECs until the end of 2020 ahead of schedule

Swiss Post, the trade union syndicom and the staff association transfair have agreed ahead of schedule to extend the collective employment contracts (CECs) for Post CH Ltd, PostFinance Ltd and PostBus Ltd by a further two years until 31 December 2020. The collective employment contracts guarantee modern and fair employment conditions.

The current collective employment contracts (CECs) – the key elements of which are governed by an umbrella CEC – have applied since 1 January 2016. They are limited to a three-year period and were set to be renegotiated on 1 January 2019. The social partners have now agreed to extend the existing CECs by a further two years ahead of schedule. By taking this step, Swiss Post has provided its workforce with a degree of stability and security relating to employment conditions.

Modern employment conditions

However, specific issues will be addressed by the social partners on an individual basis in view of different developments in the various markets. The social partners will also discuss the development of the redundancy plan which was last amended in 2011. The aim is to continue providing modern employment conditions in line with market developments in future in the interests of the company and its approx. 33,000 employees who are governed by the CECs.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
