City Link operations director resigns

Mark Tapper has resigned from his role as operations director City Link “by mutual agreement to pursue other business interests”.

Ian Doherty, who has been working with the business for several weeks, has been appointed interim operations director of City Link with immediate effect. The parcels firm says: “He brings with him a wealth of experience having previously held a number of logistics and general management positions.”

Tapper, who was employed by City Link for 12 years, will continue to work for the business on a number of projects until the first quarter of 2012.

Duncan Faithful, sales and marketing director at City Link, adds: “Mark has been a key member of the executive team and we wish him every success.”
