TWO posties have been charged with stealing more than $60,000 worth of goods including TVs, DVDs, clothes and war medals.

The parcel delivery workers, a 53-year-old man and a 60-year-old man, have both been charged with theft and postal-related offences after a joint Australia Post and Victoria Police investigation.

Goods including televisions, computers, clothing, DVDs and war medals are among four trailers' worth of allegedly stolen merchandise unearthed by police on four different properties in central Victoria.

"If you can think of it, we have got it, literally everything except the kitchen sink," Senior Sergeant Ian Brooks from Castlemaine police said on Monday.

He praised Australia Post for detecting the thefts early and urged anyone who believed they were a victim of the alleged theft to contact them or Australia Post.

Estimates are that more than $60,000 worth of goods were taken during the past 12 months, but police investigations are continuing.
