Aggressive turkey flips out and continuously attacks postmen

No-one knows exactly why dogs dislike postmen, but it's a rivalry as old as the letterbox, and shows no sign of going away. And now it looks like wild turkeys want in on the action.

You see, an aggressive turkey has started terrorising postmen in Centerville, Massachusetts, by chasing their van down the street, attacking it, and generally scaring the bejesus out of them.

As this footage shows, the irate bird - which is said to lie in wait before charging out of the woods - seems to have taken exception to local postal deliveries, or at least their white van.

Residents say he can often be seen running along side the van at speeds of 15mph, jumping and thudding into it, and even cutting it off and standing in front of the vehicle while proudly puffing out his chest.

Speaking of a recent feathered assault, postman John Moran told the Cape Cod Times: "I didn't want to get out of the truck. I figured the thing would go after me."

Local home-owner Ryan Glines, who thinks the wild bird could be responding to the eagle logo painted on the truck, added: "When mail time comes, he likes to follow around the mailman for a little while."
