i've had a look in search and nothin'g showing up on the subject..
when tickets were sent out from the clubs, it was a case of RM calling around the ticket office and they're on the way.
because clubs are cutting back etc, what they do now is send the tickets in TNT envelopes.
for example, liverpool fc.. they get collected by tnt and because of the new warrington sorting centre (which has been dogged with problems), some supporters are not getting their tickets on time. some actually receive the tickets on the monday after the saturday match or even on the day itself.
what people do is contact the club and request a duplicate on the friday and the duplicate supercedws the original (costing the club money) (and the supporter via phone calls) and they pick them up from the ticket office, even at away grounds if the delayed ticket is for an away game, usually with a half hour queue.
say tnt pick up on a wednesday, and they have another consignment from another source on the thursday, i am thinking they are delaying the wednesday mail and add it onto the thursday mail or even until the friday..
please note the word DELAY.. can you see what i'm getting at? are tnt breaking the law by delaying mail?
is this a national occurence for all clubs? ta

also noticed this with mail from bank of scotland
wife had charges on her account for whatever reason and recieved the notification of this today
wed 26th jan the letter was sent on 18th jan needless to say charges etc sorted before even the letter gets to you.
i suspect the dsa mailers as you say delay
the mail until enough has been sorted coded et all to make more profit for less service obligations . if it was rm we would get slaughtered in the press and gvmt for this process.
also who gets it for mail being slowly delivered us rm and it even gets priority over or own mail,
wish someone could make press see what is really happening all over.
privitisation and all this is only going to get worse

Well according to our 2 TNT workers on here they mention tons of work stuck in corners for a long time.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: football match tickets TNT
guv, is there any chance of finding out which M.O it went through? yours probably has the same symptons but a different illness - so to speak.
the only thing i can work on is the transfer from liverpool to warrington, which shouldn't be so much of a problem as such, and tnt holding mail back.
london clubs are unaffected cos there's no new super s.o .. the only other ones i can think of atm are teams such as reading ..the only solution to liverpool's dilema is for them to post them a day earlier and see if that works... but, yesterday i had a bit of more news. one person said he received tickets purchased on monday but is still waiting for the ones from over a week ago... which means they are either stuck in a pile at tnt or robbed. and new mail is going out first
the only people who can really alert the press is tnt employees. actually, i could ask someone for an opinion - but probably i won't get a response and i be suprised if i will but it's worth a try

Re: football match tickets TNT
[You are spot on suewecan , in all you say , sacked one of these guys for being in a restricted area where he was attempting to PINCH fotball tickets.Marched him off site , the agency sacked him he returnsd home for obvious reasons , what happened when his plane landed ?? arrested for armed robbery in his "mother" country GOOD OLD CRB CHECKS.
surewecan wrote:The problem is that TNT employ a load of europeans that dont have a clue ( including supervisory positions ) that do not have a good grasp enough of english
Indeed a lot of them cant speak or read englishWhen the mail from the machine gets rejected , it is then down to be handsorted which could be a couple
of days , then if it isnt postcoded or even international mail they havnt a clue where to put it - more delays![]()
The management employ these people , a lot of full time agency on minimum wage or just over , they are classed as easy to manipulate & will not question
working practices .
Dont they understand that good motivated people , with good training will be cheaper![]()
This happens all over the TNT network from Bristol to Coatbridge in scotland - total amateurs with a demotivated workforce where people in charge
at local level are useless .
The good english people are ignored apart from the ar*e wipes which is prevalent
