A dozy postman is facing the sack after trapping his delivery van sideways across a road trying to take a short cut.
The second class male driver hit the accelerator instead of he brake and skidded jamming the van between the two sides of the access road.
"He couldn't go forward of back and the van was a real mess. He looked very embarrassed and was saying his bosses would kill him," said one office worker in Rorschach, Switzerland.
Traffic cops eventually lifted the vehicle out with a crane.
Post office spokesman Mariano Masserini confirmed the crash was being investigated saying: "He caused a lotmof damage."
