Washington, D.C.—The Postal Regulatory Commission has approved the U.S. Postal Service’s plans for a “summer sale” from July 1 through Sept. 30 that will offer rebates to commercial mailers that increase their mail-piece volume over previous levels.
Patterned after a similar program last year that was designed to boost mail volume, the initiative will offer a 30% rebate on the amount of standard mail or flats of catalogs greater than 5% of what companies mailed in the same period in 2009.
To be eligible for this year’s program, companies must have mailed a minimum of 350,000 items last summer.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
