Scouts Christmas Post: Do you recognise your cards?

HOLY Trinity and Great Lyde Scout Groups would like to thank the public for their continued support of the annual Scouts Christmas Post service in Yeovil.

The Scouts have started delivering thousands of cards in Yeovil which have been posted in their special Christmas boxes placed around the town.

Organiser Gill Burroughes said: “The money raised means that the leaders may concentrate on Scouting activities rather than spending their time fundraising.

“As usual we have received many cards for outlying areas although we are only able to deliver in Yeovil town itself but with the help of some volunteers we have been able to limit posting, through the Royal Mail, to over 60 cards.

“We do not want the recipients to be disappointed at not receiving their mail because they are outside our delivery area or because of incomplete addresses.”

Gill added: “Grateful thanks are also offered to all those companies who allow us to place a post box on their premises as it would be a very difficult job to undertake without their support.”

Please ring Gill on 01935-425409 if you recognise any of these “homeless” cards because of insufficient information on the envelopes.
