Is there going to be an official results announcement from Royal Mail in April? I know they have said about an increase in profits but is there another announcement? Wondering if the shares will go up if there is

After that we're in a closed period between the end of the financial year and the announcement of the final results on 20th of May. This closed period is meant to prevent anyone with inside knowledge of the final results from buying or selling before the results are made public.

As to whether the shares will go up (or down) after the end of March announcement, your guess is as good as mine, I'd soon be a millionaire if I knew how share prices were going to move. You might as well as ask for the name of the Grand National winner.

From all the positive news we're being fed, it's likely the results will be in the green, hopefully with supernormal profit leading to long required R&D & reinstatement of dividends. Share prices generally rise when good news is released but impossible to predict.
