Who knows?

There's a bloke at my DO who sold not too long ago when they were about £3.20 and was happy to do so at the time, but doesn't like it when I tell him how much he could get for them now.

There were people on here predicting a sub £1 price not long ago, but I also read somewhere recently that one broker is predicting £7.

You can look at the trends of higher parcel volumes, etc, but ultimately it's all just a gamble, as nobody has a crystal ball!

*I think the highest ever was about £6.50.

The truth is nobody knows. We all know volumes are up but is that going to end when we all suddenly have our freedom back to normal.

631p (all-time closing high - 11th May, 2018). This was shortly before the annual results were announced; the share price dropped 20% in the fortnight after.

I think there's more long term upside for this share price still... a probable reduction in the USO and the automated parcel hubs getting up and running should all mean lower costs and increased income for RM, also todays ruling on Uber and the impact on the wider gig economy should hopefully make most of our competitors a bit less competitive if they've got to start paying a living wage + benefits to their ''self employed'' workers.

It's not really something anyone can tell you an answer to,Whatever price you sell at has to be what suits yourself and what you want out of them.
Personally i think there is room for a higher price in the coming months as there seems to be no real bad news coming out of RM infact i think the noises from above seem to be the most positive i've heard in the 35 years i've worked for RM.
A fair number of brokers have RMG down as a buy and target prices between £6.50 -£7 They probably know a lot more than anyone on here about how the markets work.(i hope so tbh).
It's all down to your personal circumstances i myself am quite happy to hold onto the shares and take any dividends once they get reinstated as a little tickle here and there especially since i've been able to mop up a fair few through the partnership scheme at a low price. But i'm in my 50's no mortgage and to be honest i don't need the cash i'm thinking more of something in retirement that drops a little treat every so often although i may sell some in the future and spread the risk into other investments depending on what's happening.Remember that the free shares have paid out around a grand in dividends since they were allocated and if you hang onto them you'll hopefully achieve more than they are worth in time.

I purchased maximum amount when we had chance and sold them for £5.61 got a new car out of it,its taken 2 years over to get back up to the £5 mark again, personally i dont think they will reach the £6 mark so suppose anyone wanting to sell from now onwards up to September i would not put you off at all ,dont forget we will be havong changes in October and not all for the better either.

Nobody can answer this question for you, it's purely personal.

Many in my office sold [free shares] immediately as they seen it as a quick bonus of sorts. Others held on to them as a sort of nest egg. Some recently sold after the upward trend became a slightly downward trend, attempting what is called 'timing the market'.

If you need the money then just sell, there's no point waiting (timing the market) as you will drive yourself crazy thinking 'what if?'. If you have something fancy you'd like to treat yourself with (like a new car mentioned above) then go for it, maybe you could sell some of them to contribute to a garden renovation; there's no right or wrong answer.

I personally will keep all my shares (free shares, IPO, SAYE) and reinvest the dividends if/when they are reinstated, but as I am a passive investor I see value in holding them for the long term. Many people don't trust the stock market so don't bother with it, and that's fine. Again, everyone's situations and opinions are different.
