Beaten by Renishaw, a company which makes scientific instruments. Market cap on 2/3/21 (£bn): Renishaw, 5.02; Royal Mail, 4.63. If the cut-off date had been a day later, 3/3/21, Royal Mail would have been bigger - 4.69 versus 4.57 for Renishaw.
