Royal Mail has reported to investors that Chief Executive Officer Rico Back bought £537,676.80 worth of shares in 13 transactions on 6 February – 2020 , ,the same day the company announced that its core UKPIL business could be loss making in the upcoming 2021 financial year.
Back purchased a total of 300,000 shares at an average price of £1.79 each.

If you have shares in a nominee account with Equiniti, I think they'll be shares your bought via the EPO when the company was first privatised and/or any you bought via the SAYE scheme.
No income tax or NIC's will be payable when selling them.
The free shares and any bought via the Partnership & Matching scheme should be in the SIP. All those shares will have the 3 & 5 year rules attached to them for tax and NIC's purposes.
