When they make enough profit to pay one.

Not likely for a while yet!

with the prospect of re-joining the FTSE 100 very achievable in the next period or so, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a little token dividend, to give the SP a little further push, presuming that there is anything of a profit from the undoubtedly huge turnover that is going to be announced......but the days of the 5-6% returns are way off yet......

With plans to invest £1.8 Billion(?) in parcel sorting, etc, the drop in mail volumes and Covid costs, personally I can't see any dividends for another year or two at least.

I expect them to announce increased revenue in the latest results, but no significant profit, if any.

for sure, it would be unexpected, but a modest £20-50 million set aside for divis would hardly dent the finances, but could have a positive influence in the current upward momentum the SP is experiencing. I think the Market Cap placed RM at 105 or something in size, so in that group positioned to make the climb up. Share Price was surely a significant contributory factor to Rico Backs demise and the current incumbents won't want the SP to slide again especially as it is in such a favourable position..........Logic says you're right but as stated I wouldn't be surprised with a modest statement-making divi.....
