Get out of jail card just arrived - Sip 2013

Post by stephen500 »

Just got a letter from RM Group stating that my "irrevocable" share request has been cancelled as have all share sale requests up to 23:59 on Tuesdays 2nd Oct 2018. They state they recognise a material change in the share price took place and if I want to sell in this period, I will have to ring again. Thank goodness. I will hold on to them for a while and see how the shares go. They said this does not set a precedent and if I made another request, then this would be actioned.

I can see the shares falling much more.

The profit warning this week is only the start. I expect another warning or 2.

I expect the divi to be cut.

I expect a sub 100p share price.

Failing that I see marxist Corbyn getting the company for peanuts.

Either way the the future looks bleak for the share price.

I don't know what your agenda is, a short position? Or perhaps just a general bitterness and resentment at the whole privatisation of RM... but either way, the constant nonsense you're spouting about the SP and the future of RM as a whole is becoming a little wearisome now.

Not bitter about the privatisation of RM at all. I welcomed it.

Aren't I allowed an opinion ? For the record I actually own some shares but I fear for the future of the company.

I can only see the shares falling further given the gross inefficiencies I see in my mail centre every day of the week.

My "constant nonsense" is shared by many many professional stockbrokers. Letters in terminal decline. Parcels growing but under severe pricing pressure. This is fact.

I expect further profit warnings and a cut in the divi. I am not alone in this thinking.

Yes I fear for the future of the RM as a plc. If Ms May is PM at the next election then Corbyn will win. He will then re-nationalise RM for a song.

As soon as we get to 15th Oct I am selling the shares I have.

I agree with dancing queen, they may go up after Christmas but this time next year... not looking good. Amazon are growing in doing their own deliveries. Competition is growing as they can pay drivers less.
Managers are cooking the books across the country to hit their bonus’s. Nobody has any clue at all how the shorter working week is possible. Getting more work to do with less time to do it in so more overtime will get booked. It makes no sense unless they come out with a new flats sorting machine magically in next few years. D2ds going to back fire if they keep doing 6,7 to every house more and more will opt out.

My "constant nonsense" is/quote]

is showing your political bias with the constant "Marxist" Corbyn reference. You may dislike his politics of that I have no problem, but he is a socialist who has read Marxist and likes SOME of what he read. Calling Corbyn a Marxist because he is to the left of the Labour Party is like calling the UKIP leader BNP "Batten" - inaccurate, childish and pointless, he may agree with some of their views, but he doesn't endorse or follow them.

Corbyn and his deputy have clear Marxist ideology in the labour manifesto. This is fact.

Even if you think Corbyn isn't a marxist he was try his best to re-nationalise RM plc for as little as he can possibly pay.

some reading for you which clearly indicates Corbyn is a big big van of Karl Marx.:

If it did fall to below a pound don’t you think some hedge fund or large competitor would buy the company.
When you consider what land and property the post office own surely that would be worth the billion pound spent?

In my mail centre people are interested in the collapsing share price. 99% are very angry.

I would say 90% are selling come 15th oct.

This is how much faith they have in the future of Royal Mail plc.
